Let’s get to the issues that fire me up and deplete the blogsphere.

Congressman Steve Pearce has come under attack from the New Mexico Democratic Party and their 2008 anti-Pearce goon/candidate, Bill McCamley, over the issue of fighting meth. The attack is based upon Congressman Pearce’s vote against the recent Farm Bill which contained an appropriation for an anti-meth program. What they do not tell you is that Congressman Pearce voted against the Farm Bill because of a last minute tax increase, expanded welfare programs and refusals to deal with the vast amounts of fraud, waste and corruption within the programs in the bill.
Of course, knowing the history of the New Mexico Democratic Party via Robert Vigil, Manny Aragon and the numerous Richardson cronies involved in graft/corruption scandals, it is no surprise that they are ’shocked’ that Pearce voted against such a bill.
Here is Pearce’s REAL record on fighting meth:
1. Sponsored CLEAN TOWN ACT of 2006;
2. Sponsored METHAMPHETAMINE REHABILITATION AND TREATMENTS BEST PRACTICES ACT of 2007;
3. Co-Sponsored SAFE PORT ACT of 2006 (HR 4954);
4. Co-Sponsored METHAMPHETAMINE AND IDENTITY THEFT ACT of 2007 (HR 246);
5. Co-Sponsored CLEAN, LEARN, EDUCATE, ABOLISH, NEUTRALIZE AND UNDERMINE PRODUCTION (CLEAN-UP) ACT of 2007 (HR 955);
6. Co-Sponsored RURAL POLICING INSTITUTE (HR 1028);
7. Co-Sponsored STOP MARKETING ILLEGAL DRUGS TO MINORS ACT (HR 2425);
8. Co-Sponsored METH KINGPIN ELIMINATION ACT of 2007 (HR 3143);
9. Has completed 45 to 50 town halls and/or school visits to discuss the meth problem;
10. $150,000 appropriation for Eddy County Regional Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Center;
11. $50,000 appropriation for Luna County renovation of Sunshine School drug treatment program;
12. $100,000 to Carlsbad Community Anti-Drug Gang Coalition;
13. $100,000 to Lea County Anti-Drug Coalition;
14. Is helping set up anti-meth coalitions in various towns/schools including Artesia High School, Ruidoso High School and Silver City;

It is therefore ridiculous that New Mexico Democratic Party Chairman Brian Colon would attack Congressman Pearce over anti-meth funding/solutions by stating, “Rep. Pearce voted against state and local law enforcement’s battle against meth pure and simple. While Pearce may talk the talk about fighting meth, he doesn’t walk the walk. We need a representative in Washington who puts what New Mexico needs to fight the meth epidemic before his loyalty to President Bush and the Republican Party.”
It is obvious that Mr. Colon is an idiot. Congressman Pearce’s record, shown above, speaks for itself and the fact that Mr. Colon refuses to acknowledge Congressman Pearce’s record only shows that he is willing to put his loyalty to the Democratic Party ahead of the truth. Mr. Colon wouldn’t know honesty if it fell down his pants and started to wiggle. What is McCamley’s record on fighting meth? HE DOESN’T HAVE ONE!
What really bugs me about Mr. Colon’s statement is that it basically says that Republicans don’t care about the effects of meth on our state and communities. I disagree with Democrats constantly, but, I would NEVER believe that any of them wanted people to be harmed by meth. Mr. Colon’s statement is sickening and takes partisanship to a new low. Fighting meth is NOT a partisan issue. In fact, many Democrats are co-sponsors of Congressman Pearce’s anti-meth bills. This includes Congressman Mark Udall, D-CO, Congressman Ruben Hinojosa, D-TX, Congressman Heath Shuler, D-NC, and etc.
Actions speak louder than words and Congressman Pearce’s actions are the loudest. Too bad the New Mexico Democratic Party lacks the moral courage to accept this. Of course, they have always been all hat and no cattle.

Many of you may have seen a recent issue of Newsweek magazine that attacks those of us who are skeptical of the doomsday hysteria over the theory of global warming. Let there be no doubt that this was a hatchet job. Thankfully, it has come to light that Newsweek used lies, bias and manipulation in attacking global warming critics for its story.
Robert J. Samuelson, contributing editor of Newsweek, attacked his own magazine for the hit piece about global warming skeptics. In fact, Samuelson, writing in the August 20th, 2007 issue of Newsweek, even accused his own magazine of using ‘discredited’ allegations in the attack issue involving cash bounties to pay skeptics.
Samuelson said it best when he recently wrote, “Unfortunately, self-righteous indignation can undermine good journalism. Last week’s Newsweek cover story on global warming is a sobering reminder. As we debate it, journalists should resist the temptation to portray global warming as a morality tale in which anyone who questions its gravity or proposed solutions may be ridiculed as a fool, crank or industry stooge. Dissent is, or should be, the lifeblood of a free society. Newsweek’s ’Denial Machine’ cover story is a peripheral and highly contrived story.”
Some may be shocked but what do you expect from the same magazine that took three decades to admit it was wrong on the ‘global freezing’ hysteria in the 1970’s.
The Newsweek writers involved in this corrupted hit piece are Sharon Begley, Eve Conant and Eleanor Clift.
The writers of this false hit piece painted all global warming skeptics as being bought and paid for by industry. However, the writers purposely left out information given to them when they interviewed Senator James Inhofe, R-OK, that showed that official funding records for pro-global warming groups ran to $50 billion while only $19 million went to global warming skeptic groups.
Another shining example of the bias of the writers was the use of the word ‘denier’ to label scientists who were skeptical of the man-made/doomsday global warming hysteria theory.
Several skeptical scientists and officials gladly interviewed for the story only to be shocked to see their names and reputations dragged through the mud. Several of these notable men of science showed evidence of their studies debunking the global warming hysteria to the Newsweek reporters only to see that none of their work had even made it into the article.
Finally, the writers failed to even mention that a report/document is about to be released with over 200 scientists coming out AGAINST the global warming hysteria.
So, we have writers for Newsweek making false claims, ignoring evidence, covering up that more money is spent on pushing global warming hysteria than opposing it and showing bias. Not really a shock for Newsweek!
This is just the beginning. We have already seen global warming skeptics being compared to holocaust deniers. We have already seen calls for Nuremberg type trials for global warming skeptics. We have already seen Hollywood and political ridicule for anyone who thinks for themselves on the global warming issue.
Just remember, these are the same radicals who falsely predicted a global freezing over 30 years ago. These are the same people who falsely predicted that 2006 would be the year of ’super hurricanes’ and that over a dozen of them would hit the United States.
It’s not about science. It’s about an anti-business and anti/freedom far left political agenda. Enjoy the following video that shows a lot of the science and fact that debunks the global warming hysteria:
Self righteousness, not wickedness, is the greatest threat to freedom because the self-righteous are so sure of their moral superiority that they deny their opponents that same attribute. Lies, manipulation, threats and ridicule are the only tools of global warning zealots because that is all they have. We skeptics will keep fighting and the zealots who promote hysteria and fear over reason on the question of global warming shall be exposed because in the end the truth is hard to hide.
